As you may already know, there are endless benefits of being a member of the national organization, Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI). There are also many benefits to becoming a member of our local chapter, the Texas Chapter of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (TAWI). TAWI was formed to bring AWI to you on a local level. This is accomplished through Chapter Meetings, Seminars, Plant Tours, as well as, various other functions designed to keep you connected and informed. All of this helps us in our Mission.

TAWI's Mission is to promote:

  • the use of architectural woodwork by reaching and informing customers, design professionals, and the woodworking community with programs of value.

  • quality standards and certification program as developed by AWI National.

  • education through seminars, workshops, publications and networking.

  • the value of AWI national membership and their resources in the woodworking community.

TAWI's Chapter Meetings aren't all work. We have plenty of fun too. There are a minimum of three chapter meetings per year. Each held in a city of one of our members. Check out our Upcoming Events to see if we are coming to your city! We build in time at each meeting for opportunities to network with other members. At the least, there is a golfing or shooting outing at every meeting. Because many people arrive the evening before the meeting, we also offer an Evening Social that includes dinner. There are a wide variety of interests among our chapter members so there is always something fun for all to enjoy when we meet. Spouses are not only invited, but encouraged to attend the Evening Social.
